Trying NOT to re-invent the wheel.

My Physicians are implanting many LBBAP leads.

I am curious if anyone would be willing to share a protocol that they have developed for follow up of these Conduction Site/LBBB pacing.

I personally believe they need a post op 12 lead with LBBB pacing to look at the complexes and make sure that we are giving the patients the best that we can. Look for changes in 12 lead at follow up, perhaps they need annual 12 lead.

Also, ? if the have a narrow QRS (pre-pacemaker) and were implanted for possibly SSS, do you actually need to pace or extend AVD not to pace.

I have read articles from different manufacturers, however, Since this is a fairly new technology, any input, articles, protocols or suggestions are appreciated. The more knowledge that better.

    Sincere Thanks,

    Hi Nancy -

We do primarily conduction system pacing now, and our protocol does include a 12 lead immediately post procedure (reviewed prior to same day discharge) and then at the one month follow up visit. I’m excited to see many LBBP sessions at HRS this year and hope to learn more. If there is a narrow QRS, and EF is normal, we will minimize RV pacing, but the LB lead is there if RV pacing is needed in the future.

I’m also at the hands on Abbott program Friday night at the Omni with examples and cases regarding LBBP.

See you soon and safe travels everyone!

    Jill
