Hi everyone! I'm working with the Membership Committee to gather some benchmarking information around device clinic staffing models and technician roles, and I'd really appreciate insight from other organizations.
A few questions for the group:
• Do your device clinics differentiate between a "Device Specialist" and a "Device Technician," or are those titles/functions essentially the same in your organization?
• Are your device team members responsible for reading external monitors (Holter, event, MCT, patch monitors) in addition to cardiac implantable electronic device remote monitoring?
• Do any of your device clinics manage Ambulatory ILR implant clinics or participate in implantation workflows (implant support, patient education, follow-up coordination, etc.)?
• What is your typical FTE-to-patient ratio for device clinic staffing?
