Our institution went to a two-vendor contract a couple of years ago. Since that time, one company, who is no longer on contract, has basically pulled all rep support for our area. While we employee our own staff for device clinics, this has become especially problematic with performing MRI's in our health system. We have developed a protocol for performing MRI's on device systems not labeled as MRI conditional. All but one company will send reps to reprogram these devices per protocol. With so many health systems limiting vendors to leverage better pricing for cardiac devices, have you found this to be the case in your system? Are your "off-contract" vendors pulling rep support?
