Hey everyone- quick question- in days gone by I recall that NPs could not bill the technical portion of a device check that was performed by an RN because NPs could not oversee the work of the RN. So managers were taking device patients out of my clinic. I said "please don't do that- I will check my own devices, thank you very much". When Covid arrived that rule was suspended I think. What happened after that? Can anyone bring me up to speed on what I should be doing now legally so that I can capture both the technical and the professional components of the in-clinic device check as an NP? Thanks for your help!!

I am also interested. I'm trying to capture the technical and professional as an NP and was told there is no additional RVU to the NP for the check done entirely by the NP.

Anyone have data on this as well?
