I am excited to share with you that we have created a free tool for calculating your CIED remote monitoring clinic staffing needs. The CIED Remote Monitoring Clinical Staffing Calculator is an easy-to-use, online calculator you can use to estimate the required number of full-time equivalent (FTE) staff needed for your remote monitoring services based on the number of patients seen in your RM clinic that also takes into account your work environment (i.e., # of hours in a full-time work week and # weeks worked in a year).
The calculator was developed by the authors of 2023 HRS/EHRA/APHRS/LAHRS Expert Consensus Statement on Practical Management of the Remote Device Clinic using the data that supports the recommendations of 3.0 FTE staff per 1,000 patients on RM.
